About Me
I’m Usman Ali, a passionate filmmaker, director, and storyteller from Pakistan. My creative journey began in 2022, when I directed my first music video — a project that opened the door to a lifelong pursuit of cinematic storytelling.
In 2023, I made my debut feature film, ‘Alter: Sometimes That Is a Kindness’, a dark psychological drama that was screened in Mirpur, Azad Kashmir and received widespread appreciation for its originality and depth. The following year, I directed another feature film, ‘Ifrit: Evil Never Ends’, a sci-fi horror drama screened at MASS University, Namal University, and other institutions. It was praised for its gripping atmosphere and impressive production value despite an independent budget.
Under my production label, Sinister Studios, I’ve created over 50 short films that explore the themes of fear, morality, and the human condition. My filmmaking blends emotion, philosophy, and technology — including AI-driven storytelling — to redefine what independent cinema can achieve.
